This policy explains what information MelbourneFuneralServices.com collects and how it is used. Last updated: September 2026.
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message. We use them only to reply to you. Form submissions are checked for spam by Akismet (Automattic), which receives the submission content, your IP address and browser details for that purpose.
- Email signup: if you request the planning checklist by email, your first name and email address are stored by our email provider, AWeber, and used to send the checklist and related planning emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not sell your email address or share it with Buggs Funeral Home or any other business.
Planning tools
The cost planner, urn calculator and “What Do I Do Now?” guide run in your browser; what you enter is not sent to us. The planning checklist saves your checkmarks in your own browser’s local storage so they are there when you return. You can clear them with the “Clear all checks” button or by clearing your browser data.
Usage measurement
To understand which pages and features are useful, and to report to our sponsor how often visitors use its phone, website and directions links, the site counts clicks on certain buttons and links. These counts are stored as totals per day and page. They do not include your name, email, IP address or any other identifier. The site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures visits in aggregate without cookies. We may also use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to measure visits in aggregate; you can opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Service providers and third parties
- Hosting and security: the site is hosted by Hostinger and delivered through Cloudflare. Like most web services, they process IP addresses and technical request data to deliver and protect the site. A security plugin (Wordfence) logs traffic to block attacks.
- Google Fonts and Google Maps: pages load a font from Google, and the Buggs Funeral Home page includes an embedded Google map. Google receives your IP address when these load.
- Links to other websites: links to Buggs Funeral Home, government agencies, Amazon and others take you to sites with their own privacy policies. Amazon may set cookies to credit us with a referral; see our affiliate disclosure.
Children
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
